In Saskatchewan we put patients first.

saskdocs will work closely with you every step of the way to connect you with the right opportunity whether it is a general practice (GP) position in one of our many, beautiful rural communities or a specialist position in one of our larger centres.

saskdocs recruits doctors to the province as part of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, health organizations such as the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA) and professional organizations like the Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA). You can view our current opportunities here or you can contact saskdocs directly at and we can assign you a recruiter and help you through the recruitment process.

An important resource that helps guide our work is the Planning Tool  for Physician Resources in Saskatchewan. This tool was developed by the province and released in 2016. It forecasts the projected number and type of physicians needed in Saskatchewan up to 2023. If you would like to view or download your own copy of the planning tool just follow this link.

If your considering practising medicine in Saskatchewan we have lots to offer. This province boasts:

  • a growing population and stable economy;
  • a relatively low cost of living compared to other provinces in Canada;
  • some of the highest compensation rates among all Canadian provinces;
  • short commutes; and,
  • friendly and culturally diverse communities.

Where you practice is entirely dependent on what type of medicine you specialize in. We also assist local (University of Saskatchewan) medical learners through their student career so they too have access to all of the opportunities available.
