Job Description

Position Profile:

  • Two House Officers provide in-house coverage to all medicine in-patients at St. Paul’s Hospital and Royal University Hospital between the hours of 1700-0800, 7 days per week
  • Consult support is received from specialists and sub-specialists
  • Compensation is $3,511.05 per 15 hour shift
  • Part time House Officer: 5-7 shifts of service per month
  • Casual House Officer: 3-4 shifts of service per month
Remuneration: $3,511.05 per night of service – 1700-0800 Hours (pro rated for partial shifts at a rate of $234.07 per hour)

Job Qualifications

  • Current Saskatchewan medical license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain membership on the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) Practitioner Staff
  • Interest and experience in hospital-based medicine
  • Comfort with building collaborative working relationships with physicians and hospital staff
