Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority , Swift Current is looking for a psychiatrist to provide Locum coverage from the periods of:

  • 1 week of coverage every 3rd week **Contact for dates
You would be working with an excellent team based group that includes psychiatrists and other Mental Health professionals. This Locum position offers clinical work, in-patient consultations and emergency room coverage. Office space and support staff are provided by the Region.

Job Qualifications

Successful candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Applicants will also hold ACLS certification and must have current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage. Applicants must also have a valid Saskatchewan driver's license.

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.

Benefits

Mileage: $0.5548/km OR flight reimbursement from home location to nearest airport per 1 return trip Accommodations: If site accommodations not available, (hotel to be booked and paid by locum, will be reimbursed by SHA upon receipt of expense claim to a maximum of $200/night)
