The Victoria Hospital Emergency Department in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is seeking full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our experienced and collaborative team. Our department consists of over 20 physicians from diverse backgrounds with 10+ years of emergency experience from Canada, the UK, South Africa, and Australia. We provide care to a vast catchment area, extending from central Saskatchewan to the Northwest Territories border, and offer excellent opportunities for physicians at all career stages to gain or deepen experience with a wide range of acute pathology and trauma. This is a teaching facility affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan. Physicians will have the opportunity to work with medical students and residents from across Canada.
This opportunity may be eligible to receive the Emergency Medicine Emergency Medicine Recruitment and Retention Incentive of up to $200,000!
The program applies to Specialist Emergency Medicine physicians and Family Medicine Emergency Medicine physicians.
Residents currently in their 4th or 5th year of residency may be eligible for a $30,000 resident bursary!
The candidate must have a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada in Emergency Medicine (CCFP-EM).
The successful candidate must be registered and licensed to practice medicine with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Physicians must maintain membership and insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association and must be legally entitled to work in Canada. The successful candidate is required to hold current certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Ultrasound skills are an asset and will be required or expected to obtain.

- The ED serves as the regional trauma centre and critical care access point for northern and remote communities
