Arcola is situated approximately 200 km from Regina, the provincial capital of Saskatchewan. Moose Mountain Provincial Park is located nearby at only 40 km from Arcola. Moose Mountain operates year round and offers golfing, camping, swimming, and trails suitable for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Because of the number of heritage buildings in Arcola, it was the perfect prairie setting for the 1976 W.O. Mitchell film "Who Has Seen The Wind".
