Job Description

The successful candidate will enjoy an excellent work-life balance in this progressive clinic that allows for cross coverage for time away. Kliniek on Main Primary Health Care Clinic in Moose Jaw is looking for two (2) - 1.0 FTE family physicians to join their team. This modern, efficient Primary Care Clinic uses an electronic health record (Med Access) and provides a full continuum of family practice care from infancy through LTC. In addition, the team provides initial comprehensive assessments, care and follow up to Newcomers (government-assisted refugees). The Physician will also provide visiting services to nearby Central Butte’s Primary Care Clinic and integrated long term care facility.

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold a license or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Preference will be given to University of Saskatchewan graduates and individuals with strong ties to Saskatchewan. This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family-centered care. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Benefits

The Rural Physician Incentive Program (RPIP) which provides up to $200,000 over five years to family physicians practicing, or returning to practice, in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan. The SMA Retention Fund, which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $7,000 - $14,000 per year for fulltime work.

The Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital:

The “Wigmore Hospital” is a brand-new state of the art facility with 72 inpatient beds including an intensive care unit. We provide full obstetrical services, as well as general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics and ophthalmology. Other specialty services available include pediatrics, internal medicine, pathology, radiology (diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, CT, MRI). There is opportunity for participation in teaching through the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine programs.
