Job Description

Stapleford Medical Clinic is seeking motivated family physicians to provide locum coverage for a few days and/or up to a month at a time for our busy full-time physicians. Another option is to work in our walk-in clinic on a part-time basis, rotating with other family physicians.

We provide regular family practice, as well as evening and weekend walk-in services. We also provide an extremely competitive overhead split.

We are currently a group of nine physicians, along with one Internist, striving to give the best medical care in a caring and nurturing environment.

Job Qualifications

The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; in accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.

Additional Information

  • Normal clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Walk-in Clinic runs weekends and statutory holidays 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Monday – Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. excluding statutory holidays.
  • We have an in-house X-ray department, open Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Our Nursing Department is open Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and offers spirometry, audiograms, ECGs, minor procedures, ear flushing, and injections.
  • A competent, well managed support staff are on hand to assist at all times, as well as a billing clerk to assist with submissions and rejections from the Ministry of Health.
  • Electronic Medical Records system (Accuro) with online booking and appointment reminders.
  • Physiotherapy, lab and pharmacy are located in the same mall.
  • Plug-in parking provided.
