Clinic days are currently: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays), 8 hours per day (excluding breaks). ER and on-call are in addition to clinical services.

Emergency room coverage is in addition to clinical coverage and is remunerated through the Rural Emergency Room Pilot Site Stabilization Agreement for Services.
Call Schedule Description:
24 hour on call emergency coverage is required for the emergency room, hospital in-patients, home care and long term care residents as well as critical lab values. At present, the on call responsibilities are shared equitably amongst physicians in the community.

Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a locum family physician to provide physician services in the Kindersley & District Health Centre and Kindersley Clinic located in the Town of Kindersley.

The Kindersley Medical Practice includes all aspects of family medicine including internal medicine, obstetrics (caesarian sections), pediatrics, anesthetics, emergency room call and surgery. Visiting services include general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, ENT and psychiatry.
Physicians will provide patient care and on call emergency coverage. This Physician will work closely with nurses, and other members of the health care team to meet the specific needs of this community and its surrounding area.

Job Qualifications

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care. The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan. Applicants will also hold ACLS certification. In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

Candidates with Obstetrical and/or Anesthesia training are preferred.
