Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and team-oriented LOCUM Obstetrician and Gynecologist to provide inpatient and on-call coverage the following dates:

  • June 12 @ 0800 – June 15 @ 0800
  • June 22 @ 0800 – June 29 @ 0800
  • July 13 @ 0800 – July 20 @ 0800
  • August 3 @ 0800 – August 10 @ 0800
  • August 24 @ 0800 – August 31 @ 0800

Locum Remuneration

Daily Rate: $ 3,000 per 24-hour day

Emergency Call: In addition to daily rates- Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP) stipend as per the program terms

Accommodations: Provided if required

Mileage: $0.5499/km for 1 return trip per locum assignment.

Travel Time: $20/hour for 1 return trip per locum assignment.

The Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital opened in 2015 and was built to enhance patient flow and interdisciplinary collaboration. The maternal ward has 4 Labour-Delivery-Recovery-Post-partum (LDRP) rooms, 2 post-partum rooms, 1 operating room and one room for assessment.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Certified or eligible to be certified with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (RCSPC) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
  • Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada
