Call Schedule Description:
In addition to the clinical days of service, the physician will participate in providing call coverage in accordance with the provincial Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP) for the call rotation required of the Estevan and Area Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority SE Network 9 - Estevan is seeking a team-oriented and professional Obstetrician and Gynecologist to be part of our health care team. The position involves labour and deliveries, c-sections, gynecological surgeries and treatments, consults and specialist emergency call.

This position will remain open until filled and may be filled prior to the posting closing date.

Relocation Package

The successful candidate may be eligible for:

  • The Specialist Recruitment Incentive program, which provides $30,000 to an eligible specialist that establishes a practice for a minimum of thirty-six months in a Saskatchewan community.
  • The SMA Retention Fund, which provides financial reward to physicians who practice in the province for extended periods ranging from $3,500 - $7,000

Job Qualifications

  • Certified or eligible to be certified with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) as a Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Regular or Provisional License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) (or eligible to be licensed)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector
  • Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada
