This practice offers a full range of services which would include admitting privileges and access to the health region’s resources such as home care, laboratory services, radiology services, etc. Specialized referral services and tertiary care are available in the city of Regina which is approximately 30 minutes away.

The Indian Head Hospital is a 15 bed facility that offers acute, emergency and outpatient/ambulatory services. The hospital also offers 24-hour a day emergency care to patients including assessment, treatment, stabilization and referral. Its major referral center is Regina. Also located in Indian Head is the Golden Prairie Home which is a 38 bed long term care facility which offers an adult day support program.

Services are provided by Physicians, a General Practitioner, as well as one full time Nurse Practitioner.

There is a wide range of community services available within the Primary Health Care team. This includes mental health therapists, an autism social worker, addictions workers, home care, public health, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapist, chronic disease nurse educator, dietitian, Parenting Plus program and Spirometry Testing.

Physician will be responsible for a shared portion of overhead.

Community Description

The town of Indian Head is located approximately an hour east of Regina. The community offers visitors a friendly group of retailers, restaurants and a variety of accommodations including motels, bed and breakfasts and a campground.
