Touchwood Qu'Appelle Primary Health Care Network supports 4 Primary Health Care physicians. In addition, Fort Qu'Appelle has 2 fee-for-service physicians. Balcarres has a 3/4 time fee-for-service physician.
This practice offers a full range of services, which would include admitting privileges and access to the health region’s resources such as public health nursing, mental health and addictions, physical and occupational therapies, diabetes education, home care, dietitian services, lab, x-ray, nurse practitioner and midwifery.
The clinic is in close proximity to the All Nations Healing Hospital in Fort Qu'Appelle which provides a wide range of fully integrated services including 24 hour acute, palliative, emergency, laboratory, radiology and visiting specialist services, a Women's Health Centre, CRI clinics, expanded maternal/child health care, and access to ultrasound and Telehealth services. The Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region also supports the Echo Lodge Special Care Home which provides long term care to 50 permanent residents. It also provides respite care and adult day care. A wide range of preventative, health promotion and cultural services are provided through the First Nation's Health Services and the White Raven Healing Center (located within the facility). Also located in Fort Qu'Appelle are two personal care homes including Lakeview Lodge on Standing Buffalo First Nation. The Primary Health Care physicians provide coverage and services to two long term care facilities: Balcarres Integrated Care Centre (47 beds) and St Joseph's Integrated Care Centre in Lestock (12 beds). The fee-for-service physicians in Fort Qu'Appelle provide support to Echo Lodge.
Services are provided by Physicians as well as Nurse Practitioners. Other services available in all three Primary Health Care Centres include home care, mental health and addictions, public health, health promotion, dietitian, diabetic educator, clinic assists, Primary Health Care RN's, OT and PT. Other visitors are dental and autism workers.
The above services rotate to each site: Balcarres, Fort Qu'Appelle, Lestock and Raymore, adjusting their schedules to needs.
Physician will be responsible for a shared portion of overhead.
Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
