The Saskatchewan Health Authority in Moose Jaw is seeking a Pediatrician to join a collaborative team of three established pediatricians serving Moose Jaw and the surrounding region. This opportunity offers a diverse practice that includes inpatient and outpatient pediatric care, newborn care, and participation in emergency call coverage.
The successful candidate will join a well-established pediatric practice with an existing patient base and work collaboratively with an experienced multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for children and families. Inpatient services are provided at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital, a modern facility recognized as the first large hospital in Canada built using lean design principles. The hospital features 10 private pediatric inpatient beds, a newborn nursery, and a robust multidisciplinary team, including 24/7 respiratory therapy services. Additional pediatric supports in the community include an established autism program and pediatric therapy services that are readily accessible through the local Family Wellness Program, helping ensure seamless and comprehensive care for children and their families.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in an equitable share of the pediatric on-call schedule, with on-call compensation provided separately through the Specialist Emergency Coverage Program (SECP).
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the growing educational needs of medical students and residents from the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education through the teaching and mentorship of medical students and residents and will be eligible for a faculty appointment with the College of Medicine.
