Three permanent, full-time positions are available for General Pediatrician Specialists. The successful candidates will work from the City of Yorkton in a team based clinic setting with an established, co-located interdisciplinary team, comprised of Pediatric Therapies, Autism Spectrum Disorder services, Early Childhood Psychology, Mental Health, Social Work, Dental and Public Health Nursing, as well as close links to family centered support programs such as KidsFirst and school based supports.
Itinerant pediatric services may be required throughout the southeast area of the province through on site or telemedicine services. The pediatricians will also be required to provide in-patient acute services and on – call coverage for the Yorkton Regional Hospital.

Saskatchewan Health Authority, South East Area, with its Regional Health Centre in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, requires 3 General Pediatricians who are certified or eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The successful candidates must register with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and be licensed to practice medicine in Saskatchewan. The physician must maintain membership and insurance with the Canadian Medical Protective Association and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
The City of Yorkton is located in the south east area of the province, with a population just under 20,000 people. The referral population for our specialty services is approximately 100,000; the area extends itself north, south and east across the Manitoba border. Over 50 Family Physicians may do referrals to this specialty.
