Saskatchewan is in the heart of Western Canada. The entire province has a population of just over million people living in rural and remote communities and large urban centres.


Each one of these communities is well known for its hospitality and friendliness. Saskatchewan also boasts a high quality of life and a low cost of living. In addition to these great attributes, here are a few more reasons to consider living and working in Saskatchewan:

  • there are no personal premiums or personal charges for basic and needed health care services in Saskatchewan;
  • the provincial sales tax of six per cent is the lowest of any province that charges sales tax;
  • it costs less to go to and from work because the maximum commute times in Regina and Saskatoon are about 20 minutes;
