The Physician Recruitment Agency is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation established under the authority of The Crown Corporation Act of the Province of Saskatchewan with representation from diverse health system stakeholders to provide the focus and leadership necessary to optimize the recruitment of physicians in Saskatchewan. It is led by a ten member board composed of representatives from the Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA), Regional Health Authorities (RHAs), the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S), the Professional Association of Internes and Residents of Saskatchewan (PAIRS), the Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities (SARM), the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA), and the provincial government. A public representative is also a member of the Board.
